(Our Commitment to Pecos and Reeves County)
Building Infrastructure. Creating Opportunity.
We believe that building infrastructure also means building strong relationships with the communities around us. Our approach to Alpha Digital begins with listening, understanding local priorities, and finding meaningful ways to contribute.
We've begun meeting with local leaders, educators, businesses, and community organizations to better understand the opportunities and priorities of Pecos and Reeves County. These early conversations are helping shape our approach, and we recognize there is much more to learn.
Here's Where We're Starting
Education, Workforce & Local Jobs
We've already begun building relationships with Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD and the Pecos Career & Technical Education (CTE) Center. Our recent visit gave us an opportunity to meet students and educators, see their programs firsthand, and begin exploring ways to work together.
We're excited to build on these early conversations and identify opportunities that connect local students and workers with careers in construction, energy, and digital infrastructure. We also look forward to expanding these conversations with other schools, colleges, and workforce organizations throughout the region.
Supporting Local Businesses
Local businesses bring experience, expertise, and an understanding of the region. We want to make it easier for businesses in Reeves County and surrounding communities to learn about potential contracting and service opportunities as the project develops.
Responsible Water Use
We understand the importance of protecting local water resources. PowerBridge has committed to using no municipal or community water for industrial operations at Alpha Digital. Our plans are centered on non-potable water sources and dedicated infrastructure to support the project.
Protecting Our Night Skies
West Texas's night skies are worth protecting. We are incorporating responsible lighting practices into the campus design and intend to work with organizations such as McDonald Observatory and DarkSky International as we refine our approach.
Listening and Addressing Community Impacts
We recognize that a project of this scale brings questions about construction activity, traffic, public safety, and local services. We want to work with local officials, first responders, and residents to understand these considerations, address concerns, and provide meaningful updates as work progresses.
This Is Only the Beginning
These priorities reflect what we've learned so far, not a finished plan. As Alpha Digital develops, we will continue listening, building relationships, and identifying additional ways to contribute.
Our commitment is simple: to be accessible, communicate openly, and work to earn the community's trust through our actions.
