From Planning to Progress
Real photographs from the Alpha Digital site will show the work already underway, including initial clearing, pad preparation and later construction milestones. Each image will include a date and an accurate description of the activity depicted.
A Working Landscape. A New Chapter.
For more than 140 years, this land has been part of the working history of West Texas. Its roots trace to the Elsinore Ranch, and later La Escalera and Wolf Bone Ranch, reflecting generations of ranching and energy development across the region.
Today, Alpha Digital represents another chapter in that story, bringing new power generation and digital infrastructure to Reeves County while building on a longstanding tradition of productive land use.
Edwin Giddings acquired the original ranch from the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad.
Gene Lyda acquired the ranch and renamed it La Escalera. The broader ranch spanned Reeves, Brewster and Pecos counties.
The Reeves County portion was acquired by Patriot Resources and renamed Wolf Bone Ranch, a reference to Wolfcamp and Bone Spring geology.
LandBridge acquired the surface estate and became the property manager.
PowerBridge began site preparation for a new powered campus on a portion of this working landscape.
